Blue Stone Construction Inc. offers primarily general contracting services. Our expertise is new custom homes, and extensive renovations but we will look at any project that is within the parameters of our experience.

In addition to our general contracting services, we offer a number of trade options on a subcontract basis including wood framing, asphalt shingling, consultation, and energy efficiency improvements.

Wood Framing

We currently are operating two framing crews available for subcontract in the Edmonton area. Whatever your wood framing needs, our team can get the job done right. We frame full houses, shops, garages, back decks, verandas, and basement developments.

While some framers call these "extras" and charge for them, we like to call them "standards" and include them in our price:

Our Framing Quality Standards

• All wall studs are crowned (curves all face the same way)
• Glue down all exterior and interior walls
• Glue down rimboards
• Curtain rod backers
• Cabinet backers
• Handrail backers
• Header material on edge in interior doors wider than 4 feet
• Extra screws in subfloor in high-traffic zones

Asphalt Shingle Roofing

If you have concerns about the condition of your roof, we can help; don’t wait until it’s too late! Besides providing a free consultation and estimate, we will shingle your roof quickly and efficiently, giving you the peace of mind that it’s done right. We install asphalt shingles, fiberglass shingles, and roll membrane.

Energy Efficiency Improvements

How can you make your house more eco-friendly … and save money at the same time? By making it more energy efficient. Why spend money to heat the outdoors? After all, we live in Canada! We provide many different services to make your home more energy efficient including window/door replacements, straw bale walls, and ICF construction. One of our most popular efficiency upgrades is SilveRboard installation – a foil clad EPS exterior insulation.

Construction Consultation

Often we receive requests from customers to produce a report or to provide a quote for insurance or lender purposes. We provide consultation services, problem inspection and diagnosis, insurance cost estimates, blue prints, and procedure reports. A fee will be charged for these services.
